The Big Brunch Drive

Meals on Wheels South Australia is thrilled to launch The Big Brunch Drive; an annual fundraiser, designed to bring people together over a big enjoyable brunch with lashings of purpose.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to inspire individuals, community groups, and businesses to come together to raise awareness and funds in support of our purpose - promoting independence, enhancing wellbeing, and fostering connections by ensuring everyone has access to nutritious meals and meaningful social interactions.

Meals on Wheels is a loved, iconic South Australian brand, dedicated to helping people live independently. We do this by delivering nutritious meals with a personal touch, while also providing well-being checks and meaningful social interaction, all of which enhance the lives of customers and strengthen community connections.

Why this matters

Communities thrive when people feel a sense of belonging, connection, and purpose. Strong communities foster a sense of joy, support, and unity, which are essential to living a fulfilling life. At Meals on Wheels, we’re proud to play a role in building those connections. While delivering nutritious meals is at our core, our work goes far beyond that - we reduce social isolation, monitor wellbeing, and help link people to other essential support services. By joining The Big Brunch Drive, you’re helping us continue to provide care, connection, and community to those who need it most.

How It Works:

  • Register Your Brunch: Sign up online to host a Big Brunch at your home, office, or community space.
  • Plan Your Event: Set a date, invite friends, family, or colleagues, and organize food and drinks.
  • Fundraise: Encourage attendees to donate to Meals on Wheels SA. This can be done through online fundraising pages, cash donations, or workplace giving.
  • Host and Enjoy: Celebrate your brunch while supporting a great cause.
  • Submit Donations: After the event, transfer the collected funds to Meals on Wheels SA.

Ways to Participate:

  • Host Your Own Brunch: Whether at home, in the office, or in a café, every brunch helps.
  • Attend a Public Brunch: Some local cafés or businesses might host a Big Brunch event where you can join and donate.
  • Corporate Sponsorship: Businesses can contribute through matching employee donations or hosting team events.
  • Donate Directly: If you can’t attend or host, you can still support by making a direct donation.
